Mac Repairs

Repairs

Both software and hardware faults can be repaired including spills graphic display faults, power faults and screen faults which are all repairable hardware faults. Just bring your Mac along and a free assessment and a quote for a mac repair can be given. My prices for Mac repairs are worked out the same way I do any repairs , so you won't be charged more just because you have a Mac. Remember that if you have been told you need a new motherboard that this is not necessarily so, as I am able to repair many motherboard faults.

Upgrades. Larger Mac hard drives and more Mac compatable memory can be installed, along with all standard upgrades.

Liquid Ingress. If your Mac be it a MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air, iMac, Mac mini or Mac Pro has had a liquid spill and you think the liquid has made its way inside your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air Immediately turn it off and remove the battery. DON'T try turning it back on again even after drying it out. Often traces of the liquid have become sticky inside and are waiting for you to turn it on and short the laptop. I can strip the laptop and clean all the circuitry with special solutions. This can be done for £50.00

MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, MacMini, Mac Pro Computer Service. Includes hardware check. Mac OS updated to date. Drivers updated. Malware scan (yes Macs do get them, such as mass mailing worms and trojans). Clean up redundant data and duplicate files, de-fragmentation of hard drive, cooling and power supply system cleaned and new thermal paste applied to heatsink. £45.00

Re-installation/installation of Mac OS. Documents backed up, new operating system installed including backed up files scanned for virus's and replaced. £40.00

Laptop DC power jacks (power socket on laptop) The old DC jack can be removed and a new one fixed to the logicboard. (Some prices for new DC jacks for Macs can be quite high. If you give me your model number I can give you a quote on the repair.)

Replacement Mac screens fitted. New screens fitted from £90 dependant on size and type.

Replacement Mac keyboards. New keyboards can be fitted from £30.00

Mac hardware repairs. Hardware repairs can be done down to component level, so if you have been told you need a new logicboard etc give me a call and there is every chance I can fix the part itself saving you money.

Upgrades. New hard drives, DVD drives and memory can be installed or upgraded.
